EchoTouch Doesn't Respond to Touch or Seems to Move On Its Own
Symptoms
An EchoTouch Touchscreen may not respond to touch input, or it may appear to be responding to touch that isn't there and changing on its own.
Explanation of Issue
If either of these things are occurring, you may have a grounding issue.
Solution
- If powered via POE (power over Ethernet) then add a connection from the grounding point on the back of the screen to earth ground.
- If using AUX power, make sure that ground wiring is connected on both ends to a known grounding point. The ESD ground should also be connected.
- Ensure that the plastic film which ships protecting the screen has been removed.
