Why Are the LEDs in my Echo DMX Scene Controller Presets Always White?
Symptoms/Issue
I have set a look using RGB fixtures from my console and I recorded that as an Echo Preset via the Echo DMX Scene Controller. The Echo DMX Scene Controller is set in Basic mode.
Description/Explanation of Issue
DMX uses an HTP (highest takes precedence) priority, so if there are other DMX controllers on the line they should be disconnected. Typically, an RGB fixtures puts each LED emitter at 100% when it is at its home value. The console is still outputting these DMX values when it is connected to the system.
Solution
Disconnect other DMX controllers (i.e. the console) from the DMX line.
