Unison Legacy Button, Fader and Relay Stations Repairs

Problems Cure

LED's work when unbound but do not when bound

Reprogram Echelon Neuron IC or replace node PCB 7080B5041

Fader stations losing function completely

Replace or Reprogram U1 PAL 7080Z20XX-1.0 (7080Z2009-1.0, 7080Z2010-1.0, and 7080Z2011-1.0 are identical and interchangeable).

Node board looks dead. (If working or powering up, a red LED should blink when node board is plugged in)

Check filter L1. L1 may be open. If L1 has a red dot replace it with L9022-F per ECO 8542

Station not working.  Red LED on back is on solid Replace Echelon Neuron IC 7080Z2025-1.3 See NOTE

Station will not bind, no red LED blink when plugged in

Replace and reprogram Echelon Neuron IC 70780Z2025-1.3 See NOTE

or PCB 7080B5041

Satellite boards flickering on output

Socket ICs U3 or U4

NOTE: If Echelon Neuron IC is replaced on anything other than a 5-Button station, it must be re-programmed or it will not function.  7080Z2025-1.3 is the newest type, and can be used as a direct replacement for 7080Z2004-12.  The Neuron ID of the station is permanently programmed in this IC, so replacing the IC will change the station's ID.

Reprogramming of any Unison Station IC must be done at ETC.
