How To Replace A DMX Chip On A Mosaic Controller

Tools and Parts Required
• 5/64th” Allen Key
• Dual In-Line (DIL) Chip Puller
• Real Time Clock Battery – 3V Lithium - ETC Part # BT130
• DMX Driver Chip - ETC Part # Z505
Procedure
Disassemble the Unit:
Step 1: With your 5/64th” Allen key, remove the (4) circled screws and remove the end plate. Repeat on opposite side.
Step 2: Remove the two internal PCBs.
Step 3: With the chip puller, gently remove the DMX chip
Step 4: Insert the replacement chip into the socket so that pin one is located in the correct location.
Pin one is marked with a recessed circle.
Step 4: Reassemble the unit.
