Manually Installing an Eos Fixture Library Update on macOS (2.3.3 and older)

This article is historical information only; starting with Eos version 2.4.0, the normal fixture library update process can be used on ETCnomad for macOS. The manual process in this article should only be used for Eos versions prior to 2.4.0.

Procedure

Prior to Eos Family software version 2.4.0, fixture library updates had to be installed manually on macOS.

  1.  Install the fixture library update to an existing install of ETCnomad on a Windows PC via the normal procedure.
  2.  Once installed, navigate to the folder <C:\Program Files\ETC\Eos\FixtureLibrary\>
  3. Copy the contents of the folder to a USB drive (FAT32 or exFAT format).
  4. On macOS, navigate to the Applications folder.
  5. Right click on the "Eos Family Welcome Screen" application and choose "Show Package Contents".
  6. Navigate to <Contents/Resources/>.
  7. Right click on "Eos Family.app" and select "Show Package Contents".
  8. Navigate to <Contents/Resources/FixtureLibrary/>.
  9. Paste the contents of the USB drive into this folder.
