ArcSystem Pro Serviceability By Generation

ArcSystem Pro Generations

ArcSystem Pro fixtures have had several generations of design, and the availability of service parts varies by generation. Please confirm the generation of your fixture before ordering any service parts.

Original GDS ArcSystem: Pre-2015

ArcSystem was originally designed by GDS in the UK. Prior to 2015, there were a handful of sites in the US that received fixtures manufactured by GDS. Some of these were purchased through ETC, some were sold  These fixtures can be identified by a hand-written serial number and the total lack of any ETC logo. The chassis of these fixtures is steel rather than aluminum, so they are also considerably heavier than later generations.

ETC generally does not have any service parts available for these fixtures. If you have a bad GDS-manufactured fixture, contact your dealer for replacement options.

GDS by ETC: 2015-2019

In 2014, ETC partnered to manufacture and sell ArcSystem Pro fixtures in the United States. Most PCBs remained the same, but the designs of most fixtures changed significantly to be manufacturable by ETC. These fixtures were sold from 2015-2019 and can be identified by the "GDS by ETC" mark. ETC has a limited number of service parts available for these fixtures. For repair options, contact ETC Technical Services.

In 2017, ETC fully acquired the ArcSystem Pro product line from GDS and began to sell it in the UK and Europe. This required a significant redesign of all parts for regulatory purposes. As a result, most parts for ETC ArcSystem fixtures are incompatible with older fixture generations. These are the currently-shipping versions of these fixtures, and most service parts are readily available. They can be identified by the lack of a GDS logo on the product label, and by the glass in front of the LED emitters on the fixtures.
