Erratic Dimming on ColorSource V Series Fixture
Issue
ColorSource V series fixtures function just fine when set to a constant intensity, but attempting to fade them up or down causes all fixtures to flash or jump between intensities in unison.
Explanation of Issue
Fixture Firmware version 4.3.0 introduced a new dimming curve parameter to the Standard and Direct DMX modes on the ColorSource V series fixtures. This parameter was added to the end of the pre-existing profiles, so their DMX footprints increased by 1 address. As a result, fixtures that are addressed sequentially can end up with overlapping ranges, so that the address being used for intensity on one fixture is also controlling curve on the previous fixture.
Current fixture libraries on all of our consoles have been updated to reflect this change, but if you're using up-to-date fixtures with an older console library you may end up with an overlap in your fixtures' address ranges. There are 2 options that ETC recommends to resolve the issue.
Solution 1: Update Controller's Fixture Library
To gain access to all the new features your fixture has to offer, follow the appropriate instructions below to update your console's library.

Once the console library has been updated, patch and address your fixtures with your desired profile.
Solution 2: Offset Addresses
If updating isn't an option with your production schedule, you can adjust the patch instead.
You will only run into problems with this issue if your fixtures are addressed sequentially with no gaps between them. You can correct for the overlap by increasing the start address by 1 for every fixture except the first in the address range. This should result in a single address gap between all of your fixtures. This will need to be changed both on the fixtures and at the console or controller.
