Issue
I'm trying to use UpdaterAtor 5.3.0 to update ETC fixtures through a Response Mk2 DMX Gateway. The software sees the Gateway in the main window, however when I click RDM Devices and choose the fixture type, the port(s) show up as Unknown or Disabled, and if I select a port and continue no data is transferred. The Gateway, nor the fixture, go into download mode.
Explanation of Issue & Solution
While UpdaterAtor 5.3.0 can discover Response Mk2 DMX Gateways, it does not have the additional knowledge required to use them as an update method for fixtures.This functionality was added in UpdaterAtor v6.0.0, which was released on ETC's website on October 22, 2019.
Alternatively you can use a Net3 DMX/RDM Gateway, Response Mk1 DMX Gateway, Gadget I, Gadget II, or the IO card on an Eos or Cobalt family console to update your fixtures.
