What Does a ≈ Symbol Mean on a CEM+ Home Screen?

Issue

A CEM+ displays one or more of its starting addresses as, for example:

A ≈ 1
E ≈ 1
S ≈ 1/1

Explanation of Issue

The Almost-Equal-To symbol (≈) on the CEM+ home screen indicates a non-sequential patch for that data source. It will display the address of the first dimmer in the rack, but other dimmers may not follow that address sequentially. If your rack does not have a non-sequential patch, this may indicate a corrupt configuration.

Solution

If your rack's non-sequential patch is intentional, consult your system documentation or use the About menu to confirm the rack's patch.

If the rack should have a sequential patch, download the config from another rack in the group, send the rack a config via a web browser, or generate defaults. If the system configuration is corrupt, you may need to generate defaults before loading it from another source.
