Source 4 LED Series 3 Revision Information
This article contains important details about changes made to the Source 4 LED Series 3, which may be important when ordering spare parts or repairing the fixture
Top Case Screws
The 4 screws joining the top casing to the bottom casing were switched from imperial #8 to metric M4. This change happened around August 2022.
Old: HW4261
New: HWM1971
These have incompatible threads, so choose the correct one to go with your bottom casing based on when your fixture was manufactured
Driver and Control card compatibility
Changes were made to the control card and drive card, meaning that not all cards are compatible with each other.
There are two kinds of part numbers referenced below
- Part numbers containing a "B" are unprogrammed boards. Those are the part numbers you'll see labeled on your fixtures' circuit boards
- Part numbers containing a "K" are boards that are pre-programmed and ready for installation into a fixture
The latest revision of control card (7462B5616) is backwards compatible with any and all revisions of driver (7462B5603 or 7462B5617). This will require the use of the fixture software v1.1.2 or later. It will not work with previous versions of software.
The opposite is not true. You cannot use an old control board (7462B5605) with a new driver board (7462B5617). So if replacement of an older driver (7462B5603) is necessary, a new version of UI control card is required to operate properly.
