Control Options - FSMS
Fixed Speed Motor Starter (FSMS) can control connected hoists/machines using various methods.
- Reversing Contactor Pair - The FSMS uses an interlocked contactor pair to directly drive the motor in the hoist.
- Dependent on 3rd party hoist design, a reversing contactor pair can be used with single phase, bi-phase, or three phase motors.
- Up/Down Dry Contact Control - The FSMS uses an interlocked contactor pair to provide two dry contacts for hoist control. The supply voltage for the contacts is provided by the 3rd party hoist; the contacts can be used at either high or low voltage.
- When completing the 3rd Party Motor Information sheets, include additional information in the notes field on the second page, including the desired contact voltage, 3rd party hoist model, drawings, & electrical diagrams (if available).
- Common applications are for hoists, projection screens, or other equipment that requires a simple up/down contact for operation.
- Other - FSMS can be customized to integrate with curtain machines and other devices.
- ETC has integrated FSMS with ADC, H&H, and other curtain machines and roll drops that require open/close/stop contacts.
- When completing the 3rd Party Motor Information sheets, include additional information in the notes field on the second page, include 3rd party hoist model, drawings. & electrical diagrams (if available).
