What is Central Command in Echoflex
Question
What does 'central command' refer to regarding Echoflex equipment?
Answer
Most Echoflex communication consists of standard commands: 'turn on'/'turn off' or 'dim up'/'dim down'. Central command covers commands outside of this norm, especially triggering specific output levels. Several Echoflex control devices use central command communication. At this time the CAN2GO BACnet gateway is the only device that can have custom-configured central command control, and this must be done via the pre-commissioning process.
Examples of central command:
- The Echo-Echoflex Interface sets Echoflex output devices to specific levels via incoming Echo preset commands.
- The CAN2GO BACnet gateway can be configured to lock out linked stations or sensors.
