Explanation
When EchoTouch Offline Editor software looks for a USB drive, it is specifically looking for Removable Storage. We have learned that some USB drive manufacturers design the drives in such a way that the software, as well as Windows OS, is identifying it as a Hard Disk Drive, instead of as Removable Storage. There is no way to change this about a USB Drive and another USB drive will need to be used instead. See the steps below to check if your USB drive is one of these.
- Insert the USB drive into a Windows PC.
- Open the File Explorer
- Select "Computer".
- Locate the name of your USB drive. It will either appear in the "Hard Disk Drive" section, or the "Devices with Removable Storage" section.
- If it appears in the "Hard Disk Drive" section, EchoTouch Offline Editor will not be able to find it.
