Record/Program Button on Echo Inspire Station

Issue

Trying to record presets on an Echo Inspire station, but the record/program button has a solid LED and the first button or knob is flashing in a pattern.

Description/Explanation of Issue

The record/program button serves two purposes on an Echo Inspire station, to let you record presets and to let you change the first preset or zone number.

Fix/Solution

  1. To record an existing lighting look into a preset, tap the record/program button so the amber LED above the button starts to flash and all the preset buttons are dark. Then press the button you want to record the current lighting look to. That button will flash blue then go solid blue. This means you have successfully recorded a preset to that button. The station will automatically take itself out of record mode.
  2. To change the first preset or zone number for the station, first make sure the toggle switch on the right side of the station is set to the proper target (preset or zone). Press and hold the record/program button for 5 seconds until the amber LED above the button goes solid and the first button or knob on the station starts blinking. Press the blinking button the number of times you want the first number to be (so press 4 times successively if you want the first number ot be 4). The blink pattern of the button will tell you what the first number is (so if you tapped it 4 times, it should then blink 4 times before pausing). Tap the record/program button to exist the program mode.
    1. Keep in mind that you cannot change the order of your preset or zone numbers this way. To change the order, you will need the EchoAccess app, either an Echo Expansion Bridge or EchoAccess Bluetooth station, and to have your station set to 'custom' mode.
