An Overview of the MSC X Rev3

New Hardware

In December of 2023 ETC released the MSC X Rev 3.

Updates 

The MSC X will maintain its same form factor, functionality, and output count limits. 
This new revision adds RIO-A linear timecode inputs to the rear of the MSC X and offers increased performance when dealing with large pixel arrays.
In addition, the rear panel of the MSC X has been updated to include:

• Terminal block connectors for serial.
• Terminal block connectors for audio output.
• Introduction of audio input specifically for linear time code.
• DVI output changing to Display Port.
• DVI input, which is only offered on the -VCC option, changing to HDMI.

Compatibility

The MSC X Rev 3 will only be compatible with Mosaic Designer 2.11.0 and above. Please note that this controller does NOT work in any version 1 of Mosaic Designer.
