Can I Open Show Files Across Different ColorSource Console Types

Answer

You can open a show file saved from any flavor of ColorSource Console onto another variation of ColorSource Console. Show files will be compatible for AV vs non-AV as well as 20 vs 40.

Caveats in versions prior to v3.0.0:

  • If you load a file that was originally saved on a 40-fader console (CS40 or CS40AV) onto a 20-fader console (CS20 or CS20AV):
    • You will lose any channels above 40, since the 20 variants support up to 40 channels.
    • You will also lose Playbacks (memories) 21 - 40 on each of the 10 Playbacks pages.
  • Also, a non-AV console will not load the Audio or Image components of an AV showfile.

Caveats in versions v3.0.0 and higher:

  • If you load a file that was originally saved on a 40-fader console (CS40 or CS40AV) onto a 20-fader console (CS20 or CS20AV):
    • You will also lose Playbacks (memories) 21 - 40 on each of the 10 Playbacks pages.
  • Also, a non-AV console will not load the Audio or Image components of an AV showfile.

*As of v3.0.0 all hardware variants of ColorSource Consoles support 80 Channels of control.
