aRFR crashes saying "Your application encountered a fatal error and cannot continue"

Symptoms/Issue

When attempting to open the aRFR app on my Android device, the application immediately crashes with the following error screen:

"Your application encountered a fatal error and cannot continue"

Description/Explanation of Issue

aRFR v4.1.1 was released in order to be compliant with  the Google® Play Store.™ API requirements. After this update, ETC has identified that some users with 32-bit based Android hardware will run into this error. 

Fix/Solution

  1. Update to v4.1.2 or higher
  2. Because this change was made for compliance with the Google® Play Store™ API, there is not a way to downgrade to v4.1.0.
