Can I Buy My Own PC Server and Just Install the Emphasis software?

Question:

Can I buy my own PC server and just install the Emphasis software?

Answer:

No, an Emphasis server is shipped pre-configured from ETC with internal dongle to protect the software.
We will not sell the software alone. We cannot support such installations.

There are several reasons for this:

1. New Emphasis software will come out as System Installation CD disk sets. 
   These are not compatible with other hardware.
2. Because of the wide range of computer hardware available on the market,
   it is impossible to support Emphasis on unknown hardware.
3. The Emphasis server components have been chosen because of their optimal performance with the software. 

Other component performance cannot be guaranteed.
