Recalibrate Internal Touchscreens on Eos Apex Consoles
Symptoms/Issue
The calibration of my internal Apex Touchscreens is incorrect, making it difficult to program.
Steps to recalibrate the screens
- Exit to the Welcome Screen, then press Settings
- In the General Tab, press "Monitor Arrangement"
- Select the Internal screen that needs to be re-calibrated. The screen on the left is "B" and the screen on the right is "A".
- Press the Reset Calibration button, then press Okay on the Digitizer Calibration Tool popup
- Press the Calibrate button.
The screen will turn white with the following instructions:
"To provide calibration samples, tap the crosshair each time that it appears on the screen.
Right-click anywhere on the screen to return to the last calibration point. Press the Esc button to close the tool. Do not change your screen orientation until you have completed the calibration process."
Note: Right-click requires an external mouse. Press the Escape key on an external keyboard - Carefully press the crosshairs in turn. They begin at the top left, move left-to-right, and end at the bottom-right corner. There are a total of 16 when Calibration has been Reset as in step 3 of these instructions. (If that step is skipped, there will only be 4 crosshair targets)
Note: using a touchscreen stylus (such as this pen available from the ETC web store) may help give a more-precise tap on the screen for calibration.After calibrating the screen, it is recommended to test the calibration in the Touch Screen Test
- In Settings, move to the Maintenance Tab
- Press the Touch Screen Test button. Every connected screen will turn blue with a popup message about Corners Touch Test:
- Press OK. It is not necessary to touch the corners. Instead, use a finger or stylus to draw lines towards the edges and corners of the screen. It should be possible to draw a solid line along the edge.
If pink does not appear at the edges of the screen, re-calibrate the screen again following the previous steps 2 thru 6.
