How To Adjust Channels in Step Based Effect Steps

Situation/Goal

Step based effect has channels A>D in a step, how do you add or delete channels to/from that list.

Answer/Solution

You can adjust the channels in a step by selecting the channel box for the step and using the [+] and [-] keys to add and delete channels. As a note, you will have to do one channel or channel range at a time.

Steps

Example: Effect 1 Step 1 currently includes channels 1>50

To add a channel or channel range (let's say chan 80>90):

  1. Navigate to effect 1 in the Effects tab
  2. Select the channels box for step 1 in the editor
  3. Command line should now say 'Effect 1 Step 1 Chan'
  4. Enter [+] [8] [0] [thru] [9] [0] [enter]
  5. This will add channels 80>90, making it 1>50 and 80>90

To delete a channel or channel range (let's say chan 20>30):

  1. Navigate to effect 1 in the Effects tab
  2. Select the channels box for step 1 in the editor
  3. Command line should now say 'Effect 1 Step 1 Chan'
  4. Enter [-] [2] [0] [thru] [3] [0] [enter]
  5. This will delete channels 20>30, leaving 1>19 and 31>50
