What is a Pixel Map and Why Should I Use It?
Pixel Mapping and the Virtual Media Server
A pixel map is a layout of fixtures onto which you can apply images and other media onto. We use the Virtual Media Server to put these images and videos onto the pixel map.
A pixel map uses an X-Y grid to layout fixtures as they may appear in a real space, and then use those locations to know which pixels of media should be applied.
Why should I use on?
There are several reasons, but many people use Virtual Media servers and pixel maps to quickly apply complex effects to large groups of fixtures.
