Expression 2x - DMX Troubleshooting and Components

Symptoms/Issue

When there is no DMX or bad DMX

Fix/Solution

If all DMX ports do not work, the DC/DC converter may have failed.  Please send to ETC for repair.

If just one port is dead:

1. Swap in a good DMX IC into the socket of the bad DMX port.  If there is no DMX 4 port, that IC can be freely used as a spare.
2. If DMX IC swap does not help, swap in a good Opto IC (Z423, "6N137") into the socket (see diagram below).  If there is no DMX 4 port, that IC (Z423, "6N137") can be freely used as a spare.
