Setting a Custom IP Address on an Obsession II Processor

Obsession Facepanels can be configured through their internal software, but changing the processor unit requires a bit more work.

To set the IP address on the processor, go to DOS and go into the ETC directory. Type:

edit config.dat

and press enter.

If the following lines are there, change them to your appropriate values, if not, add them and set them to your values:

ip_address=x.x.x.x
gateway=x.x.x.x
subnet_mask=x.x.x.x

Remember that an Obsession II network prefers the gateway address be set to match the IP address in an unrouted network.
