What is SmartSoft?
SmartSoft is an online and offline viewer and editor for SmartFade and SmartFade ML Consoles. When used on its own, it allows you to simulate any of the SmartFade Consoles, which allows for creation, editing, and saving of shows. When used connected to a console, SmartSoft provides live views into the stored data and offers facilities to add text labels for show items and see positions of fader levels to simplify level matching and ensure seamless operation. SmartSoft can be used by a compture to load showfiles onto the SmartFade.

Can my computer run SmartSoft?
The latest version of SmartSoft is compatible with PCs running Microsoft® Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 (32 or 64 bit), and Windows 10. Apple Macintosh® OS X systems versions 10.4 thru 10.10 (Yosemite) are also compatible. Mac computers running newer software such as El Capitan or Sierra can only run SmartSoft in the offline mode.
SmartSoft requires a minimum 1280x1024 video display resolution. Please see the chart below for compatibility with older versions of software.

Drivers
You may need to install particular drivers on a PC running Windows in order to ensure communications between the computer and SmartFade family console. Please check the release notes and/or operations manual for the particular version of SmartSoft for instructions.
