Some customers have wanted to use our USB-RS485 Converter (for "DMX Whip") to configure RDM devices.
Description/Explanation of Issue
This device was designed to be used to update fixtures, no configure them. It does not pass DMX or RDM packets.
- You can instead use a Gadget or Gadget II in conjunction with Net3 Concert to configure RDM devices.
- There is no standard for RDM over Network, but using our Net3 and Response brand sACN gateways you can use RDM via Eos Family, Cobalt Family. Net3 Concert and ColorSource AV consoles to configure RDM devices.
