Wire Nuts vs Wagos for Control Wiring

Explanation

All LON-based control wiring should use Wagos for connecting multiple wires together. As the Unison Legacy and Unison Paradigm families use LON-based protocol for communication, they require Wagoed connections.

While Echo uses the same standard control cable (Belden 8471), it uses EchoConnect protocol for communication, which does not require Wagos for connecting multiple wires together. Wagos are highly recommended, as they inherently create a more secure connection, but wire nuts are acceptable for wiring an EchoConnect system.
