How does DMX scale between the assigned minimum and maximum level?

There are two behaviors depending on the fixture firmware version. Anything lower than ArcMesh 2.5 or RDM 1.0.4, the incoming DMX value equals the output value, but is capped by the minimum or maximum level. So, if you have a maximum level of 50%, DMX 51% and up = 50% output.

As of 2.5 / 1.0.4, the DMX level is scaled proportionally between the minimum and maximum level. So, with a maximum level of 50%, DMX 50% = 25% output.
