High Pitched Whine from ColorSource CYC Fixtures

Symptoms/Issue

Some customers have heard a high whining noise coming from their ColorSource CYC fixtures.

Description/Explanation of Issue

This could have two causes:

1. This could be caused by the LED driver circuit and the frequency of the LED causing noticeable sound since there is no fan in the unit.

2. This could be the power supply causing a whine.

Fix/Solution

1.  Using RDM, set the LED Frequency to 25kHz instead of the default 1.2 kHz.  Many users find this creates less noise from the LED driver circuit. 
2.  If changing the LED Frequency doesn't resolve the issue, the problem could be the power supply.  Please note the serial number(s) of the unit(s) and contact ETC Technical Support.
