Grinding Zoom in ColorSource Fresnel V

Symptoms/Issue

When positioned vertically (i.e. as a down light), some ColorSource Fresnel V fixtures will grind while zooming in or out.

Explanation of Issue

ETC has traced this issue down to insufficient initial burn-in time on the zoom assembly. A 1-hour burn-in with the fixture horizontal should resolve the issue.

Solution

Using a console of your choice, create an effect that runs the zoom in and out roughly once per second. If you don't have a console, either contact your local service center or ETC Technical Services for assistance.
