Set Light App reports "No Layout Found" When Connecting to ColorSource Spot V
Symptoms/Issue
When trying to pull settings from or send settings to a ColorSource Spot V over NFC using the Set Light App, the operation fails with a "Cannot Find Fixture Layout" error.
Description/Explanation of Issue
A fixture layout is a file that the Set Light app uses to identify a particular fixture and its software when communicating over NFC. If there is no file that matches the specific software running on the fixture it is attempting to communicate with, the communication will fail.
Fix/Solution
- Ensure your mobile device is connected to the Internet so that Set Light can update its database of fixture layouts.
- In the App Store or Google Play Store, make sure the app does not have a pending update or allow it to update if necessary.
- Update your fixture to the current version of software using UpdaterAtor.
- If you continue to have problems with the app, contact ETC Technical Services.
