Response Mk2 Gateways do not act as a standalone merger/splitter without a perceived network connection
Explanation of Issue
The Mk2 gateways released with this known issue: Response Mk2 Gateways do not act as a standalone merger/splitter without a perceived network connection.
If you would like to use the Mk2 Gateways as a 1-in 3-out opto-splitter, you need to have some form of connection on the network port. We have confirmed that this can be as simple as an Ethernet Loopback plug. These are available online or as ETC P/N SGN1272.
If the gateway has a network connection, and that connection is lost, it will continue to work as an opto-splitter until a power cycle. At that time if no network connection or loopback is present it will stop working as a standalone merger/opto.
