Alternatives to Sensor Fluorescent and Fluorescent Battery Modules D20F and D20FB

Symptoms/Issue

Due to parts obsolescence in October 2023,  ETC is no longer be able to build Fluorescent and Fluorescent Battery modules for Sensor and DRd power control enclosures. They are considered End-of-Life.

ETC will continue to repair and service these modules for as long as we are able. Other ETC modules for Sensor and DRd still support phase dimming of most 2-wire ballasts and can be used in conjunction with optional 0-10V controllers for dimming 4-wire ballasts.

The following parts are impacted by this change:

7050A1042          D15F               Sensor

7050A1094          D15FB             Sensor

7050A1006          D20F                Sensor

7050A1095          D20FB              Sensor

7050A1051          HD25F              Sensor

7070A1064          ED15AFRF       Sensor

7070A1065          ED25AFRF       Sensor

7083A1020          D15F                 Unison

7183A1073          D15FB               Unison

7083A1024          D20F                  Unison

7183A1074          D20FB                Unison

7083A1008          AD15F                Unison

7183A1075          AD15FB              Unison

7083A1009          AD20F                 Unison

7183A1076          AD20FB              Unison

7183A1056          HD15F                Unison

There are not any direct alternatives for these F and FB series modules. Customers looking to order these modules have a few different alternatives, depending on their project:

  1. If the modules are for new circuits/systems, they can use either 2-wire ballasts that can be dimmed with a D20/AD20 or 4-wire ballasts that can be dimmed with an R20/AR20 in conjunction with a 0-10V option card or 0-10V Gateway.
  2. If the modules are replacements for existing systems that are NOT still working, ETC may be able to repair them.
  3. If the FB modules are meant to be used for providing a sense circuit for an SC1008, a tap kit can be used instead.
