Fader or Programmer section may not power on

In some cases, a Fader or Programmer section may not power on. This can indicate a problem with the Internal Power Board (IPB).

Fortunately, the IPB includes several spare power headers that can be used for troubleshooting. The instructions below will walk you through opening the console and moving the power connection to an alternate header on the IPB.

This test can help determine whether the issue is being caused by a failed output on the Internal Power Board or by another component within the console.

Please follow the instructions carefully and use caution when opening the console and handling internal cables. The internal wiring has limited slack and can be damaged if excessive force is applied.

If you have any questions while performing the procedure, please let us know and we'll be happy to assist.

1. Prepare the console

  • Move the external display out of the way so you can lift the front panel.

2. Remove the rear screws

  • Using a 2.5 mm hex tool, remove the three screws on the back of the console.

  • The plastic clips can remain in place.

3. Loosen the armrest screws

  • Locate the three screws beneath the armrest on the bottom of the console.

  • Using a 3 mm hex tool, loosen each screw.

  • These screws are captive and will not come out completely; they will only loosen.

4. Lift the front panel

  • Carefully lift the front panel.

  • The internal cables have some slack, but please lift slowly and avoid putting stress on the cables.

5. Locate the power cable

  • Find the yellow/black power cable connected to the Fader Board.

  • Follow the cable back to the IPB (Internal Power Board).

6. Move the power connection

  • Unplug the yellow/black power cable from its current header on the IPB.

  • Plug it into one of the adjacent headers on the board.

7. Test the console

  • Close the console, power it on and test whether the issue has been resolved.
