Importing/Exporting Configurations to RAYN Touch Controller

The Config Files menu on the RAYN Touch Controller includes commands for moving files to and from a USB memory stick, or to delete a file resident in the unit.

Import

Configurations being imported to the RT Controller must be in a .json file format to be recognized by the controller and be saved in a sub folder with the exact name of the configuration file within the "RAYN Configurations" folder on a FAT32 formatted USB.

Example:

Exported File:RAYNTest.json

FAT32 Formatted USB Drive > RAYN Configurations > RAYN Test > RAYNTEST.json

Export.JPG

  • Connect a USB memory stick to the RAYN Touch Controller. Go to Settings > Files > Config Files > Import.
  • Select the file name from the list and press the green check mark button to confirm. Press the red X button to cancel.

Export

Before a configuration can be exported to USB, it must be saved locally on the RAYN Touch Controller with a unique name.

Configuration files will be saved on the USB memory stick in a sub folder with the exact name of the configuration file within a folder named "RAYN Configurations" in the root directory. The exported config will be in a .json file format.

  • Connect a FAT32 formatted USB drive to the RAYN Touch Controller. Go to Settings > Files > Config Files > Export.
  • Press the green check mark button to confirm. Press the red X button to cancel.

CAUTION: All data is stored internally in non-volatile memory. Do not switch off the power until any pending Save operation is completed, or data may be lost. It is strongly advised to export important data to a USB stick periodically using the Config Files > Export function.
