Importing/Exporting Configurations to RAYN Touch Controller
2.1 Software and above
(See Below for 2.0 and prior software)
The Config Files menu on the RAYN Touch Controller includes commands for moving files to and from a USB memory stick, or to delete a file residing in the unit.
Import
Configurations being imported to the RAYN Touch Controller must be in a .rcf file format to be recognized by the controller within the "RAYN Configurations" folder on a FAT32 formatted USB.
Example:
Exported File: My RAYN Touch.rcf
FAT32 Formatted USB Drive > RAYN Configurations > RAYN Test > My RAYN Touch.rcf
- Connect a USB memory stick to the RAYN Touch Controller. Go to Settings > Files > Config Files > Import.
- Select the file name from the list and press the green check mark button to confirm. Press the red X button to cancel.
Export
Before a configuration can be exported to USB, it must be saved locally on the RAYN Touch Controller with a unique name.
Configuration files will be saved on the USB memory stick within a folder named "RAYN Configurations" in the root directory. The exported config will be in a .rcf file format.
- Connect a FAT32 formatted USB drive to the RAYN Touch Controller. Go to Settings > Files > Config Files > Export.
- Press the green check mark button to confirm. Press the red X button to cancel.
This will save the file in a folder off root directory of USB drive called RAYN Configurations.
CAUTION: All data is stored internally in non-volatile memory. Do not switch off the power until any pending Save operation is completed, or data may be lost. It is strongly advised to export important data to a USB stick periodically using the Config Files > Export function.
Editing
On On the PC Syrcadia configuration default storage location is C:\User\youruesername\Document\RAYN\Syrcadia. Though you can use the standard Windows File Explorer for Open, Save and Save as operations. Syrcadia configuration files have a .rcf extension.
2.0 and previous software versions
Originally the file type was .json. and be saved in a sub folder with the exact name of the configuration file.
