Fotono 0-10v Control

0-10v Control for Fotono Luminaires

Fotono uses RJ11 connector for 0-10v connection.

RJ11 use 4 conductors 2-5, while RJ12 uses 6 conductors 1-6. Fotono only uses 2-5.

Pin 2 Cool 0-10v (+) Black

Violet Ch2 Cool (BCL Violet/Green)

Pin 3 Cool 0-10v (-) Red Pink (previously Gray) Common
Pin 4 Warm 0-10v (+) Green Violet Ch1 Warm  (BCL Violet/Red)
Pin 5 Warm 0-10v (-) Yellow Pink (previously Gray) Common

Note: The two commons in some cases need to be connected together

NOTE: a RJ12 could also be used,  RAYN  just does not use Pin 1 white and Pin 6 blue.

Fixture to Fixture connection

The cable for fixture to fixture connection must be straight through cables. The ones you can find at the hardware store for Telephones are cross over cables and will not work in this application.

Troubleshooting "Why does nothing work!"    

If you have wired  the connector  as above but no lights are on or go out when you plug in the RJ11, check that the RJ11 is not reversed. If it is terminated backwards the control function of the colored wires will change.
