Will an Echoflex Sensor Use Battery or Solar Panels if Battery is Installed

I have an Echoflex Sensor that I have installed the optional battery into. Will it use the battery automatically or use the solar panels first?
Answer
Echoflex sensors will always use solar power if possible, even if a battery is installed. They will revert to battery power only if they sense the solar charge is almost gone. If the solar charge replenishes after this, they will change back to using that power.
