Echo Access Interface Fails to Connect

Issue

EchoAccess Interface shows up as a Bluetooth device in the app, but either endlessly spins on "connecting" or displays "The connection to your Access BT Interface or Expansion Bridge has been disrupted." Also, when the cover is removed from the front of the interface, both the blue and amber LEDs are blinking.

Explanation of Issue

When both LEDs on the interface are blinking, the interface is looking for firmware. The only way to get out of this state and regain operation of the EchoAccess interface is to reload firmware to it.

Fix/Solution

Load in the latest EchoAccess Firmware

  1. Download the lastest EchoAccess Interface firmware using UpdaterAtor and place it on the root of a microSD card.
    •  Note: Compatible cards include SDHC microSD media up to 32GB, formatted to FAT32. SDXC is not compatible.
  2. Insert the compatible microSD media into the card slot receptacle on the side edge of the unit.
    • Note: The microSD card must be installed into the card slot with notched edge facing down.
  3. Remove the 24 VDC power from the EchoAccess Interface.
  4. Wait five seconds, and then restore 24 VDC power. Both the yellow and the blue LEDs will flash to indicated the update is in process.
    • Note: This process may take up to 10 minutes to complete.
  5. When the update is complete, the blue LED will remain in a solid state. Remove the microSD card from the interface
