Supported Operating Systems for EchoAccess Mobile App
The EchoAccess Mobile App is used in conjunction with the EchoAccess Interface to control and configure many Unison Echo® products conveniently from your Smartphone. The EchoAccess Interface and the EchoAccess Mobile App communicate using Bluetooth Smart (also called Bluetooth Low Energy, or Bluetooth LE) version 4.0 or greater. Some older Operating System may not support Bluetooth Smart and therefore will be unable to connect with the EchoAccess Interface.
The following Operating Systems are supported:
Apple
- iOS 8
- iOS 9+
Android
- Kit Kat 4.4
- Lollipop 5.0+
Note: We have seen some lower cost devices that use a supported Operating System but do not have hardware or software capabilities to be Bluetooth Smart compatible. Please check the specs of your device to be sure.
EchoAccess Mobile App v2.3.348 (or higher) will only be compatible with iOS devices running iOS 10 or higher. The following iOS device are not compatible regardless of iOS version:
- iPhone 5 and earlier
- iPhone 5C
- iPad 4 and earlier
- iPads running v13 and higher will not be able to share files - iPad Share Issues
This only effect iOS devices. Android devices are unaffected and retain previous compatibility.
