Symptoms/Issue

Mosaic 2.7.3 is no longer listed on the ETC Downloads Page.

Description/Explanation of Issue

Mosaic Designer 2.7.3 was posted to the ETC Website and ASC pages on Monday December 16th, 2019.

It was later determined that significant issues in the controllers that could cause show controllers to become unrepsonsive.

Bug One:

If a project has serial port on any Controller or RIO to set to RS485 or DMX In, the first upload of the project will work without issue.

Any subsequent uploads to controller via Designer or the WebUI will cause the controller to watchdog.

Bug Two:

If project contains an I/O module with a dropdown menu within the Instance's Properties menu, the first upload of the project will work without issue.

Any subsequent uploads to controller via Designer or the WebUI will cause the controller to watchdog.

Recovery

Recommended Method

To recover from this state, remove the SD card from the controller and format it to FAT or FAT3

If the controller's SD cannot be removed (Abort Boot)

Step 1: Reset (using the button on the hardware or via a power cycle), wait for controller to reboot until output status LED is on
Step 2: Within 60 seconds, execute step 1 again.
Repeat steps 1&2 for 6 times. After repeating it the 6th occasion the output LED stays off indicating no project is loaded

Please note the reset button on the web interface bypasses this counter, so you can’t use that button, it needs to be the reset button on the device, or a power cycle.
