Output limitations of Paradigm Architectural Control Processor Mk2 (P-ACP-E / P-ACP-D)
Summary
The Paradigm Architectural Control Processor Mk2 (P-ACP-E and P-ACP-D) is limited to 2048 unique channels or parameters, which is double what the original P-ACP Mk1 was capable of. Each channel can be patched to multiple addresses, but only counts as one channel toward this limit. You can patch channels in up to 12 output universes (including both sACN and DMX) to each P-ACP, as long as patching is limited to the 2048 unique channels.
The P-ACP output count cannot be upgraded
Details
Output addresses and unique channel patch are two different things. Each parameter of a fixture counts as a unique channel. That fixture, however, can be patched to multiple addresses without counting against the unique channel patch count. For example, if you have an RGB fixture that would count as 3 unique channels of the 2048. If the fixture is patched to 30 addresses in Universe 1 you are still only using 3 unique channels but 30 addresses would get applied to the output address limit per processor which is 12 universes (6144 addresses). This is further illustrated by the System Estimator screenshot below.
