How to bind a Paradigm station at the Paradigm Processor (P-ACP)

Question

I'm installing a loaner Paradigm station or a new station in my Paradigm system, and want to connect it to a station that already exists in the configuration. How do I bind the station at the Paradigm Processor (P-ACP).

These steps work for stations that connect via either Lon or network. In the case of P-LCD or P-TS7 touchscreens, and P-LCD-DOCK hardware, the station must running firmware compatible with that of the P-ACP.

Answer

  1. Physically connect the new or loaner station to the system.
  2. At the P-ACP press the check mark to enter the Main Menu.
  3. Scroll to Arch Setup and press the check mark.
  4. Scroll to LonWorks Connections (Listed as Station Connections in 5.x+ firmware) and press the check mark.
  5. Scroll to Connect Device and press the check mark.
  6. Highlight the station in question and press the check mark.
  7. Highlight the neuron ID that matches the label on the station and press the check mark to bind. (NOTE: the P-ACP will only display neuron IDs of the station type selected in step 6)
