How to Map a Grandmaster Fader / Blackout on Element 2

How do I map the Grandmaster function to a fader on an ETC Eos Family console that does not have a dedicated GM fader?

Answer

You can map the Grandmaster function to a virtual fader or wing fader via Tab 36 - Fader Configuration:

• Open Tab 36
• Select the function box for the desired fader (may say something like 'unmapped' or 'sub X' already)
• From the dropdown menu, select the function option
• From the function dropdown menu, select 'Grandmaster' option
• The fader will now function as a Grandmaster.  On the console both bumps must be depressed together to activate BLACKOUT.  On the virtual fader module, only the bottom bump must be clicked to activate BLACKOUT.
