Explanation
It may sometimes be necessary to remove the IO Garage from Eos Apex Consoles if service is necessary on the internal components. The steps below will walk you through removing the IO Garage Cover and IO Garage Shelf.
Required Materials
- Philips Screwdriver
- 7mm nut driver
- Snips for removing zip ties
Removing the IO Garage
- Loosen the captured thumb screws outline in Magenta from the IO Garage
- Remove the 3 screws outlined in Yellow
- Lift up on the cover outlined in Blue like the hood of a car to remove the cover.

Removing Rear Chassis Covers

- There will be 4 USB cables running through the IO Garage shelf. Snip any zip ties securing the cables to the IO Garage Shelf and snake them out of the shelf
- Using your 7mm nut driver, remove the two nuts securing the IO Garage Shelf to the bottom chassis of the console
- Pull the IO Garage Shelf straight up to access the rear half of the carrier board
