Keyboard Keepout Installation

If instructed and given parts through Tech Services, here are the steps to install the keyboard keepout bracket (ETC PN# 4450A3050) on Apex Family consoles. This bracket is intended to separate the keyboard tray USB cable from the cables of the motherboard. 

These instructions are intended for all sizes of the Apex console.

Fix/Solution

Open up the control panel of the console Opening the Control Panel on Eos Apex Consoles for Service
Remove the indicated nuts on each side of the keyboard tray
Place the keyboard keepout onto those two positions
The metal separator should fall between the black sleeve on the keyboard side and the gray/blue cables on the motherboard side Once the positioning of the cables is confirmed, reinstall the nuts on each side of the keepout
Use the included ziptie to secure the blue USB and yellow/black power cable to the new secure point on keepout. Make sure to only secure the cables shown from the keyboard tray.  Do not ziptie any other cables.
Installation should look as shown Note the separation of the cables from the motherboard from the cables from the keyboard tray
