Canadian Windows 10 Upgrade Process
ETC Eos family consoles have been manufactured running Windows 7 for many years. In 2022, ETC began manufacturing running Windows 10 as the embedded operating system. In August 2025, ETC began offering customers interested in upgrading their console to Windows 10 the ability to do so by sending it to the factory for upgrade. Starting in November 2025, ETC is now offering the ability for Canadian customers to have their consoles upgraded in Canada to avoid the cost of shipping across borders. This program will run through summer 2027.
Any ETC Dealer can help you with the purchase of an upgrade. All labor will be performed at Eightforty, an authorized and trained service provider in Vancouver. General maintenance and cleaning will be performed on your device during the upgrade. If any additional issues are found that may require repair, your dealer will contact you to discuss next steps. After purchase of an upgrade, consoles will need to be shipped at the customer's expense to Eightforty to have the work performed. Work with your dealer for logistics of return shipment. Once completed, Eightforty will ship your equipment according to those plans.

Note: ETC would strongly recommend you back up all show files on the console before sending it for upgrade.
