Issue
Wireless Net3 RFR unit cannot connect to Base Station Receiver upon power up
When powering up Net3 RFR unit, it is stuck on a screen that says 'searching for base'
Steps to Solution
When turning on your RFR unit, you may need to launch into Base USB mode to tell it to connect to the base station
- Press and hold the [.] button while powering on the RFR unit
- Select {Base USB} under the console selection list
- If you are prompted to reboot the RFR unit, let it reboot and it will now go into Base USB mode and connect to your base station
If you do not get an option for Base USB when launching this way, it means your RFR unit does not see any base stations. In order for the RFR unit to see a base station, both units need to have matching Channel and Net ID numbers.
To assign the ch/net ID numbers for the base station:
- On the console that you are using, exit from your show file and navigate to Settings -> RFR
- Assign the channel and net ID numbers as you want
- Power cycle the console

- With the RFR unit powered down, press and hold the [C] button
- Hold the [C] button while powering up the RFR unit until the top line says 'Set HF channel'
- Use the wheel on the left or right side of the unit to assign the channel you want
- Press the [S2] key to go to the next page, which will say 'Set Network ID'
- Use the wheel on the left or right side of the unit to assign the network ID youw ant
