How To Ping a Network Device from Eos Family Console
Steps
To ping a device that shares the same network as an Eos Family Console, perform the following steps
- From the show file, exit to the shell of the console
- Navigate to Settings > Network
- Under the Console section, click the 'Ping' Button (red in photo)
- Click the dashed white outline box in the upper left corner of the ping popup window (yellow in photo)
- Enter the IP address of the device you want to ping and hit enter
- If you see replies, you can see the device over the network
- If you do not see a response or get errors saying "timed out", you cannot see the device over the network
