Additional Information
General information about IGMP can be found at What is IGMP and how is it used with ETC products?.
Windows operating system (XPe/Win7/Win10) send IGMPv3 messages by default. If a switch or router sends an IGMPv2 request, the Windows operating system will automatically switch to IGMPv2.
In most configurations, the time between IGMP queries can be several minutes. (An IGMP query is a request by a switch or router asking for devices to tell it what multicast traffic they are interested in). This means that IGMPv3 requests sent to an IGMPv2 switch or router will often be ignored. It is only after Windows receives an IGMPv2 message that it knows to downgrade its request. During that lag of several minutes, multicast ACN traffic is generally blocked (which includes sACN output, multiconsole connections, and connections with peripherals like Net3 Gateways and Response Show Control widgets.
