Obsession 2 Remote Focus Unit (RFU) Won't Connect to Console

Symptoms

The Obession 2 RFU is plugged into a Net2 node, won't connect to the console, and displays "System ID 0. Waiting for connection..."

Explanation of Issue

The Obsession 2 RFU displays this error when it is unable to establish communication with the processor.

Solution

1. Make sure the Obsession 2 processor is powered on.
2. Check Network Configuration Editor (NCE) and verify that the Net2 node is online. If not begin troubleshooting the network to determine why. Otherwise proceed to the next step.
3. Replace the communication transceiver chips inside the RFU.
   1. ETC part # Z1458-F (replaces Z216).
